Here are pictures of the beginning of Shiann Poodles. We can not stress the need for a sound foundation in any breeding program. Without a strong foundation you will not survive the test of time. The strength of any good breeding program is always found in the health and soundness of your foundation bitches. In the beginning it is always easier to test and make sure you are only using the best breeding stock available then having to go back and fix a problem that could have been avoided at the get go. This is why I take the time and make sure my breeding animals pass all the testing that are available. When a new test becomes available I always take full advantage of the test making sure my animals are not carriers of the disease. I also only us dogs in my program that have years of health testing behind them. I do this to try and make sure my puppies are going to be happy , healthy additions to all families
. My foundation miniature bitch was Can/U-Ch.Keja's Miramichi at Sherfame. She is optigen/cerf clear Ofa good Hips/patellas/lcp and has produced two champions. Mira is now retired. She has produced 1 dual ch , 2 grandchampions and 2 champion so far. Roxann is now retired from my breeding program. Her daughter AKC/ IABCA/U-Gr.Ch. Shiann n Sherfame Here Comes Georgia is my first triple Ch. all owner handled. She is my first AKC owner handled Ch. She is optigen/cerf clear OFA hips/elbows/lcp and OC clear. She is also the number 2 UKC poodle for 2013. I am very proud of all her accomplishments. She has produced one AKC Ch and 3 UKC Ch as well as 2 International champions. I have 2 stunning bitches out of her that will be in my breeding program. To me finishing dogs owner handled says alot about a breeding program because if you send your dogs out with a handler they will most likely be able to finish them regardless of the quality.
