Shiann Poodles,Reg

This is the home of champion, health tested poodles. My name is AnnMarie Saunier. We focus mostly on the red/apricot color but do also have blacks. Blacks help to keep your reds/apricots correct in pigment. At this point in time, we show at three different venues. We show with the American Kennel Club/United Kennel Club and the International All Breed Canine Association. All of these venues have something different to offer their competitors and the rules are different at each venue. As a breeder it helps me to pick and choose the best possible dogs available for my breeding program. I am very serious about my dogs and my breeding program. At this time, I am part of two of the American Kennel Club breeder programs. The first is the American Kennel Club Breeder Of Merit Program. I am proud and honored to be a part of this program. It took me years and hard work to get here. The second is the American Kennel Club Bred with Heart Program. Heart stands for Health, Education, Accountability, Responsibility, and Tradition.

I continually strive to do the best for my dogs and my breed, and both of these programs help me to do that.

Since the summer of 2010 my dogs have consecutively been in the top ten with the United Kennel Club. In 2010 we had 5 in the top ten with one being number one. In 2011 we again had the number one poodle and a total of 4 in the top ten. For the year 2012/2013 we had 2 in the top ten. We had the number 2 poodle in 2013 and again in 2014 with a total of 4 in the top ten for 2014. In 2015 we still had one in the top ten with only showing 2 weekends. In 2016 we had 2 in the top ten. In 2017 we also had 2 in the top ten. We had number 6 and number 8. In 2018 we had number 3 and number 4 in the top ten. AKC Ch/International Ch/ RBIS UKC GRCH Shiann's Lady Winterfell aka Sansa was number 3 and UKCGrCh/International Ch Shiann's Jolene was number 4. In 2019 we had 3 in the top ten,number 2 number 4 and number 6. In 2020 we had 2 in the top ten number 3  GrCh Shianns Dancing For That Money and number 6 GrCh Shiann's Dont Stop Believing and the tradition continues.  

We have been breeding dogs since the early 80's. We started with the German Shepherd Dog in 1976. I started out in obedience and branched from there to conformation ,sledding, search and rescue, and protection training. I have started doing noseworks, agility and trick training with my poodles. It is so much fun.

I have to thank my mother for all the years she spent taking me to shows and training class. Without her I do not know where I would be now.

I concentrate completely on the Miniature Poodle in red/apricot and black. I have found through the years that this size Poodle is the most compatible of all sizes. They are big enough to be dogs yet small enough to live in a smaller environment. They also are the healthiest of the three varieties. We are so very blessed to be able to share our lives with these magnificent animals.
